" The journey is not a race but a patient unveiling, where resilience blooms not from flawlessness but from embracing the entirety of our being. In this delicate balance of pain and beauty, we discover that true growth blossoms only when we allow ourselves to be seen, whole and imperfect".

Before titles or roles, I’m simply another human being on their journey. I am not separate from those I sit with. I stumble, I learn, I love deeply, I worry, I try again and I apologize when I fall short. It is in this shared humanity that keeps me grounded, reminding me that healing is not something we do alone but something that we find together.

I am also a mother, and that has been my greatest teacher. In breaking cycles that once felt unbreakable, I have learned that courage and tenderness can co exist. Motherhood has taught me about patience, resilience and the fierce love that it takes to heal, not only for myself but for those who come after me.

Since I was a child I knew that I wanted to help others. For as long as I can remember, I have been the person that people go to for support. Not because I have all of the answers, but because I truly find meaning in connecting with others, even in their pain. Empathy and compassion are not tools that I reach for, they are the lens in which I view the world around me both personally and professionally.

I can’t count the number of times that I have sat with a stranger on a plane, in a waiting room or simply passing by and I have ended up immersed in their life story. It usually ends with “I don’t know why I am telling you this”. I believe this happens because I truly find so much meaning in holding space for the stories that shape who we are, even those that cause the most anguish but especially those where resiliency, bravery and grace is waiting to be held.

I will always live my life as an anchor for those who need a witness - in my therapy room or simply passing by, I see you and I can’t wait for you to see yourself.

How I Can Help

I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in SSM, Ontario. I am a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have practiced within Sault Ste. Marie servicing children, youth and families in a variety of roles for over 10 years. In addition, I have collaborated with other professionals within the community and have sat on committees addressing issues such as human trafficking and domestic violence.

With a comprehensive educational background and extensive professional training, I bring a well-rounded expertise to my practice in social work and mental health. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Work from Sault College and a Honors Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Algoma University, graduating with honors from both institutions. Additionally, I have obtained certificates in Trauma Focused-CBT and CBT through Wilfrid Laurier University. I  have completed numerous training programs, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy.

While my formal education and certifications have provided me with invaluable knowledge of treatment modalities and clinical approaches, my lived experience has been my greatest teacher. From a young age, life showed me the profound importance of safety, connection, and autonomy, as well as the significant impact when these fundamental needs are unmet - at any stage. Having overcome various childhood adversities throughout my own journey, I approach my work with a perspective deeply rooted in empathy, understanding, and compassion. This balance of clinical expertise and authentic insight allows me to connect meaningfully with those I support, fostering healing and growth in a safe, collaborative environment.

Healing doesn’t happen between pages of theory - it happens between two people willing to meet each other as deeply human

My Approach & Experience

My therapeutic practice is a carefully woven blend of evidence-based approaches, each chosen with intention to honor your unique story, your pace, and your lived experience. Drawing from extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play Therapy, and Art Therapy, I integrate these modalities not as isolated techniques but as a responsive, cohesive tapestry.

When working with children and youth, this tapestry shifts to meet their developmental needs. Young people often communicate through movement, story, play, and creativity long before they can express their inner world through words. With them, therapy becomes more experiential—using play-based methods, art, sensory exploration, and family collaboration to build safety, emotional regulation, and trust. Their strengths, curiosity, and natural resilience guide the process, while I provide structure, attunement, and developmentally informed support.

With adults, the work often involves reconnecting with parts of themselves that have been silenced or forgotten. Many of us lose touch with the joy and freedom of play. I find deep meaning in witnessing moments when clients soften into creativity or rediscover their inner child. These experiences open pathways to profound healing, allowing long-hidden parts of the self to emerge with tenderness and clarity.

Across all ages, these therapeutic elements create a gentle, grounded scaffolding—supportive enough to hold you, flexible enough to honor your autonomy. This space is yours. Here, you have control. You are always free to pause, reflect, ask questions, or move forward only when it feels right.

My approach is rooted in connection, compassion, and deep respect for the unique needs of each individual—whether a child finding language for big feelings, a youth navigating identity and change, or an adult tending to long-held wounds. I work collaboratively, integrating best practices in trauma-informed care to support healing, growth, and inner reconnection at every stage of life.
